Embodied Yoga w/ Bonnie

Embodied yoga is a practice focused on the moment-to-moment experience of the participant, and on participants making choices in each yoga form. Participants are encouraged throughout the class to make active choices about how to engage with each suggested movement.
In this class, the teacher does not do physical assists, rather I will model movements and suggest structure. Participant feedback is welcome and encouraged. All are welcome! No previous yoga experience needed.

Bio

I took my first yoga class in 1986 at the Glendora Public Library.  The class caught my imagination and I have practiced since then (sometimes frequently and sometimes less frequently!).  I completed the 200 hour training in 2004 with Sivananda Yoga in the Bahamas.  I noticed that after the teacher training I felt incredibly grounded and happy though I mostly used my teacher training to enhance my personal practice. Recently, I learned of the research on a modified form of yoga which can help people heal from the emotional challenges of trauma.  After learning this, I was inspired to re-engage in teaching and I completed 40 hours of training with the Center for Trauma and Embodiment at JRI in April 2019.
