Yoga will strengthen and lengthen your muscles at the same time. You will develop a strong core, steady balance, flexibility, breath connection, mindfulness and a deeper awareness of your body. This is a low-impact exercise that you will be able to sustain as a life long practice. Yoga is for people of all professions, backgrounds, sizes, and ages. How to prepare for your first class:
Be hydrated and make sure to eat any big meals at least 2 hours before.
Register online. This is not required but convenient for you.
Show up 15 minutes prior to class (snap a photo for your social media feed).
Wear stretchy exercise attire that you can move freely and be comfortable in.
Bring a yoga mat (or rent one), water, and a hand towel.
Yoga studio etiquette: leave your cell off the floor & save social conversations for after class.
Have an open mind & heart leaving judgements of others but especially yourself out the door.
Practice with the body you have TODAY. Listen and honor where you are on your journey.
