FAQ

How do I sign-up? You can register online or through the Mind Body phone app. Also, you can arrive 15 minutes early to class to register in person with on of our UY team members.

Do I need a mat? Yes. We have mat rentals for $2 but recommend investing in the convenience and comfort of having your own.

Do you offer private sessions? Yes, we absolutely encourage private sessions for beginners or those with serious injuries/needs. Please contact us for our studio or in-home rates.

What do I need to bring/wear?  Make sure to wear stretchy exercise attire and no need for special shoes or socks as you'll practice bare foot. Besides a yoga mat, we suggest water and a hand towel as well as an open heart & mind.

What is People's Flow?

We believe in the gift of yoga and therefore believe yoga should be accessible and available to all. Our people's flow class is a tribute to where Michelle started teaching in 2011, in her backyard. Providing a donation based class makes yoga affordable for the community. Each class has a different style vinyasa, precision, etc. followed by an indicator (PF).

Who teaches these classes?

Unlike other studios where donation yoga is taught by teachers in training, our classes are taught by experienced certified teachers just like our other classes.

Is donation yoga free? Donation yoga does not mean free yoga. We suggest $8-13 per class but if you can't afford the suggested amount, please give what you can. We understand this price may vary each session permitting you to give a little less some days and sometimes a lot more. Our team kindly thanks you for helping us provide a quality atmosphere.

I have a United Yoga membership, do I still donate? All People's Flow classes are included into the UY membership.

When are you open? We currently offer class 7 days a week with classes in the morning and evening on most days. If you want to come to check out the studio, we have teachers available to answer your questions 15 minutes prior to every class. There is no one present during hours of non-operation so please contact us via email or phone for more information.

What class is good for beginners? All of our classes are all-levels with experienced teachers ready to provide modifications to meet your level. However, here are our recommended classes for those starting on their yoga journey:

  • Precision Yoga (Iyengar)

  • Mindful Yoga (Hatha Yoga)

  • Mobility Yoga (Yin Yoga)

  • Vinyasa Flow 1

  • Restorative Yoga
  • Yoga 101 (Monthly workshop)
